i3X is the Industrial Information Interoperability eXchange: an open API for manufacturing information platforms. Applications talk to one set of operations instead of a different interface per system. That sits in the same line as OPC UA and ISA-95. Whether i3X matters in your landscape is recorded in the audit report.
