Automation Potential
Analysis

Before budgets flow, we clarify: which processes in your production can be automated and which of them actually pay off?

01

What a potential analysis delivers

A potential analysis identifies systematically which processes in your production are automatable, what data they require and which steps are economically justified. The result is not a wish list but a reasoned assessment per process.

The basis is an on-site inventory: equipment, controllers, interfaces and the current data flow are captured and evaluated. In parallel, the processes offering the greatest automation benefit are identified, for example in cycle time, scrap rate or energy consumption.

The result is a written report with clear recommendations, prioritised by effort and expected benefit. The report belongs to you and forms the basis for internal decisions, tenders or a return-on-investment calculation in the next step.

02

How the potential analysis works

1

Briefing and scope

A short conversation clarifies which areas to analyse and what information already exists. This produces a concrete scope with a fixed price.

2

On-site inventory

Our specialists document equipment, controllers and data flows in your production. We talk to the people who work with them daily, not just the planning documents.

3

Assessment and prioritisation

Each process is rated for automatability, expected benefit and realistic effort. The prioritisation also considers dependent systems such as ERP and MES.

4

Written report

The report summarises the results: what pays off, which prerequisites come first and in which order it makes sense to proceed. The report belongs to you and stays your foundation for the next step.

Frequently asked questions about potential analysis

Which production areas are suitable for a potential analysis?

Essentially all of them: assembly, machining, palletising, quality inspection, energy and intralogistics. The key is a concrete need for improvement, for example high scrap rates, manual duplication of work or unclear energy costs. We start with areas where the data situation allows a reliable assessment.

What distinguishes a potential analysis from an automation audit?

The automation audit is the broader entry point: it assesses the entire production and system landscape and recommends steps in sequence. The potential analysis is more focused and goes deeper into the assessment of individual processes, for instance when the audit is already in hand and a specific area needs further investigation.

What does a potential analysis cost and what do I receive?

The analysis is quoted upfront as a fixed price depending on scope. You receive a written report with process assessments, benefit estimates and a prioritisation of next steps. The report is your decision basis and belongs to you without any further commitment.
